Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1 · Effective May 30, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out what you may and may not do on Ifiok. It applies to every account — customer, printer, designer, admin — and to every piece of content uploaded to or printed through the platform. Breach of the AUP can result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

Prohibited content

You may not upload, print, design, or distribute through Ifiok any content that:

  • Infringes intellectual property — copyrighted images, trademarks, brand logos, or designs you do not have the right to reproduce. If you reproduce a third-party brand or design, you must hold a licence and be able to show it.
  • Violates Nigerian law — counterfeit currency or documents, illegal goods, content that depicts a minor in a sexual context (which is always reported to authorities), or any other material that is unlawful in Nigeria.
  • Promotes violence or hatred — content that incites violence against a person or group, threats, terrorist propaganda, or hate speech targeting a person's ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • Is sexually explicit — Ifiok is a general-purpose marketplace and does not print sexually explicit material.
  • Contains malware — uploads that try to deliver malware, exploit our systems, or harvest other users' data.
  • Misrepresents identity — content designed to impersonate another person, brand, or government body.

If you are unsure whether content is acceptable, ask at support@ifiok.ng before placing the order.

Prohibited behaviour

You may not:

  • Abuse the dispute system — open false disputes, file chargebacks without first contacting us, or repeatedly request refunds you are not entitled to.
  • Defraud printers or customers — pretend to be someone you are not, use stolen payment methods, or coordinate with another account to game pricing, reviews, or commissions.
  • Harass other users — abusive messages in the order chat, doxxing, threats, repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop.
  • Scrape or reverse-engineer the platform — automated scraping of catalogues, prices, or other users' content; reverse-engineering of our systems beyond what is permitted by law.
  • Abuse the messaging or marketing channels — unsolicited bulk messaging, phishing, or attempts to harvest other users' contact details.
  • Bypass security — attempt to access another user's account, escalate privileges, or interact with the platform outside the intended interfaces.

Copyright takedown (DMCA-aligned)

If you believe content on Ifiok infringes your copyright, submit a takedown notice via the Copyright Claim portal. The procedure is DMCA-aligned: reporter notice → admin triage → uploader counter-claim window → admin decision → optional strike on the uploader's account.

Repeated infringement (typically three valid claims) leads to permanent account termination.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, Ifiok may:

  1. Remove the content and notify you with the reason.
  2. Issue a warning to your account.
  3. Suspend the account pending review.
  4. Permanently terminate the account, with the legal records required by law retained per the Privacy Policy.

Serious or repeated violations may also be reported to law enforcement.

Appeals

If you believe action was taken in error, reply to the enforcement email or write to support@ifiok.ng within 14 days. We review every appeal.
