Ifiok uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") so the site works and so we can understand how you use it. You control which categories you accept — the only cookies we set before you choose are the ones the site cannot function without.
The first time you visit, you will see a banner with four toggles: Functional, Analytics, Marketing, and Device security (fraud prevention). Functional cookies are always on; the other three you can accept or reject in any combination. You can change your choice at any time from the same banner — it reappears if our administrator enables a re-prompt cadence.
Categories
Strictly necessary and functional. The cookies that keep you signed in, remember your language, and persist your consent choices. You can block these in your browser, but the site will not work properly.
Analytics. Aggregated, anonymised usage data — which pages loaded, which buttons were clicked, where signups drop off. Our lawful basis is your explicit consent (NDPA 2023 § 27). Retention: 14 months, then automatically deleted.
Marketing. Drives optional outbound emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages about offers and new features. Our lawful basis is your explicit consent (NDPA § 27); you can also unsubscribe from any individual message.
Device security (fraud prevention). When you opt in, we compute a hashed device fingerprint using the open-source FingerprintJS library — it runs entirely in your browser, with no third-party service involved. We do not write a fingerprint cookie on your device; the hashed result is sent to our servers and stored there for fraud detection only. Our lawful basis depends on purpose: legitimate interest (NDPA § 28) for fraud prevention; explicit consent (NDPA § 27) when the data feeds analytics aggregates. Today, the cookies above are all first-party — set by Ifiok, read only by Ifiok. We do not embed third-party analytics scripts (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Facebook Pixel) on this site.
If we add a third-party analytics or advertising service in the future, we will update this page before any data is shared with them, and any existing consent will be re-confirmed.
Changing your mind
You can change your consent at any time — clear your cookies via your browser settings and the banner will reappear on your next visit, or wait for our re-prompt cadence (if enabled by our administrator) to bring it back automatically.
You can also block all cookies in your browser settings. The site will still load, but you will be signed out and unable to use any account feature until you re-allow at least the strictly-necessary category.
